Visa-free, visa on arrival travel for Indians to 59 countries

The Indian passport ranked 76 according to Henley Passport Index, 2018.


The Singaporean passport is no longer the most powerful passport in the world. According to the latest Henley Passport Index, Japan occupies the top spot with visa-free travel to 189 destinations.
Singapore takes the second place along with Germany with visa-free travel to 188 destinations.
UAE is the fastest climber on the 23rd place. It has come up by 38 places since 2008, securing more visa-waivers for its nationals in 2018 than any other country globally.
The Indian passport ranked 76 according to Henley Passport Index, 2018 with a visa-free score of 59. The Indian passport added nine countries to its visa-free list from last year's 50.
There are many countries that holders of Indian passport can visit without a visa or by obtaining visa-on-arrival. So, check the list out and plan your next trip, accordingly.

Kerala named 'best destination for families'

Kerala has witnessed tremendous growth in tourist arrivals



Kerala bagged the 'Best Destination for Families' award through an online poll conducted by Lonely Planet magazine.
Tourism Secretary Rani George said "it feels overwhelming that the tourism industry players have appreciated the efforts of the Kerala Tourism Department".
The Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Award 2018 recognizes the best travel destinations among various categories and winners are chosen by an online readers' survey.
Over the years, Kerala has witnessed tremendous growth in tourist arrivals with an increase of 11.39 per cent in domestic arrivals in 2017, compared to the previous year.
During 2017, 14,673,520 tourists visited the state, up from 13,172,535 in 2016.
In terms of revenue, total foreign exchange from the tourism sector during 2017 increased 8.29 per cent to Rs 8,392.11 Crore, as compared to 2016.
The total revenue from tourism grew from Rs 29,658 Crore to Rs 33,383 Crore.
The Tourism Department has set an ambitious target of increasing domestic tourist arrivals by 50 per cent and doubling the foreign tourists by 2021.
